Our Empower programs include: customized training plans, personal training sessions in the strength & conditioning facility, high-intensity training sessions, core conditioning sessions, hot tub and steam room treatments, deep tissue/sports massages, ultimate sports performance lunches, nutrition consultations, and more. Experts

ROBERT LINKUL, Strength & Fitness Director

Robert Linkul joined Arden Hills Resort Club & Spa in 2004. Robert strongly believes that education is the key to success in life and in the weight room.

He specializes in strength and conditioning, mountaineering/rock climbing, project pyramid, Olympic weight training, sports specific weight training, women with weights, high intensity training (HIT), and power weight lifting. Robert holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Kinesiology from California State University of Sacramento, as well as a Master of Sport Science Degree from the United States Sports Academy.

Robert is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a member and presenter for the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He has experience as a USA Track & Field Coach, USA Olympic Weightlifting Coach, and a Sacramento State Assistant Throws/Strength & Conditioning Coach.

In his spare time, Robert enjoys golf, skeet shooting, and mountaineering. He is a USA Track & Field Hammer Thrower, NCAA Track & Field Championship Qualifier, Nationally Ranked Hammer Thrower – 14th in the Nation, and Olympic Weight Lifting Club Coach.

MATT NOVAK, Personal Trainer

Matt Novak’s personal fitness philosophy is “to create a commitment to enriching quality of life through safe and effective physical activity.”

He specializes in strength and conditioning, power weight lifting, body toning, sports specific training, and functional fitness. Matt is currently working towards a Bachelors of Art Degree in Sociology from Sacramento State University.

Matt is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and has experience with extensive strength and conditioning, football, and track and field.
